The Friends of Tuscarawas County Public Library’s Main Library will host its fifth annual Murder Mystery Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at the Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia. Doors will open 30 minutes before showtime.

Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance at the Main Library. Tickets may be purchased by cash, check or card. Card purchases include a $3 per-ticket transaction fee. Reservations are required by Feb. 27.

This year’s show, "The Mobster’s Menu for Dinner," was written by Steve Long. The story follows the Gelato Gang as they crash a 1943 street fair on their way to Philadelphia. Ticketholders are encouraged to wear 1940s-themed costumes.

“We are so grateful to Roxy Long for granting us access to one of Steve’s intriguing murder mysteries,” Friends board President Candy Beaber said. “With the support of Chris Hart and other local actors, we are confident that this will be yet another successful murder mystery for the Friends of the Library.”

Dinner is included with each ticket and will feature a buffet from Kathy’s Catering with roast beef, seven-layer salad, broccoli salad, parsley potatoes, Alfredo pasta, rolls and a choice of dessert.

After dinner, guests may question cast members to help determine the culprit. Each table will submit a theory following the interrogations. The table with the best guess will win.
