Farmers market director to speak at Tuscarawas County Senior Center
Mark McKenzie will discuss the value of supporting local agriculture during Dec. 18's Lunch and Learn
Director Mark McKenzie will speak about the mission and history of the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market Thursday, Dec. 18, at 12:15 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. He will discuss the value of supporting local agriculture and the importance of providing field-ready food in various forms to meet community needs.
“I look forward to another opportunity to share what it means to eat from local sources and the future of food,” McKenzie said. He will also present a video offering a bird’s-eye view of the origins of agriculture and its influence on the development of modern culture.
The program is part of the Lunch and Learn series sponsored by the Dover Public Library the third Thursday of each month. All Lunch and Learn events are held at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center, 425 Prospect St., Dover.
To register, contact Library Linda at the Senior Center at 330-364-6611.
