ECOFA meeting to feature talk on birding Dec. 3

ECOFA is an organization of people interested in improving their woodlands

Emmert will discuss what makes the Ohio River region unique and outline how a new trail will highlight up to 100 premier birding hotspots.

At the East Central Ohio Forestry Association meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, Jamey Emmert, avian education coordinator with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife, will explain why birding is such a big deal in Ohio.

Emmert will discuss what makes the Ohio River region unique and outline how a new trail will highlight up to 100 premier birding hotspots along the river shoreline.

ECOFA is an organization of people interested in improving their woodlands and learning about forestry-related topics. The public is invited to attend the free meetings, held monthly at the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover.
