Tuscarawas Central Catholic was voted as the No. 2 seed in
the East District, which features 11 schools. The Saints may have been No. 1,
but one school apparently filled in its voting in opposite order. As it was,
TCC got three first-place votes instead of four, while Conotton Valley got
four. The Saints still got a first-round by and will play at home at 6 p.m. on
Oct. 15 against either No. 8 Malvern or No. 9 Bishop Rosecrans, who play Oct. 13. The winner of that will play a district semifinal on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at
a site to be determined, with the district final Oct. 22, also at 6 at a site
to be determined.
