Dover Public Library to offer heart health screenings Feb. 6

February is American Heart Month

Hospital staff will offer blood pressure checks and a five-minute screening for total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar.

In recognition of February as American Heart Month, Dover Public Library is partnering with Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital to raise awareness about heart health.

Hospital staff will be at the library 9-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, for National Wear Red Day, offering blood pressure checks and a five-minute screening for total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar. The most accurate results are achieved with a 12-hour fast.

The cost is $12, payable by cash or check. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted if space is available. To register, call 330-602-0779 or visit UnionHospital.org/Events.
