Dover Public Library announces children’s programs

The annual Adopt a Pet Stuffy program will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. Each child will receive a surprise stuffed pet and pet care items.

The Dover Public Library children’s department will kick off the new year with programs for children ages 0-12.

Storytimes are held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The 10:30 a.m. session is geared toward children ages 3 and under, while the 1:30 p.m. storytime is geared toward children older than 3. Storytimes are open to all ages. Registration is not required.

Other upcoming programs include:

— Lego Builders will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. The challenge will be to build a Lego car and race others.

— Wacky Wednesday will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28. The program will feature a Reading Dragon card party. Children may bring their Reading Dragon cards to play games with others. Participants will also design a Reading Dragon card bag and enjoy treats. For more information about the Reading Dragon program, call 330-343-6123 or visit the library to receive a reading tracker.
