Dover Library to host health programs
Participants will learn about the causes and warning signs of heart attacks
The Dover Public Library is partnering with Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital to provide three programs designed to help participants lead healthier lives.
The first program, “Learn the Warning Signs of a Heart Attack,” will be held Monday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover. The second program, “Spot a Stroke and BE FAST,” will take place Monday, Oct. 6, from 2-3 p.m. The third program, “Control Your Cholesterol: Learn How Cholesterol Affects Your Heart Health,” is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. Both the October and November programs will be held in the library’s Community Room.
About every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a heart attack. Some people delay getting help, believing it would be embarrassing to have a false alarm. Others are so fearful that they convince themselves they are not having one. During the September program, participants will learn about the causes and warning signs of heart attacks, what to do if someone is experiencing one and the differences between a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
Registration is required. To sign up, call Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at 330-602-0779.
