Dover library to feature local artifact collection in January
Library officials said the display offers an opportunity for the public to explore ancient history
The Dover Public Library will feature a display of tools and artifacts from local collector Larry Wonderly in the Adult Department display case during the month of January.
The collection includes flintmaking tools and arrowheads from Harrison and Coshocton counties, along with a piece of Kentucky hornstone. Library officials said the display offers an opportunity for the public to explore ancient history while also recognizing the upcoming 250th birthday of the United States.
“There are some really neat pieces here,” said display case curator Todd Trimble. “I am very excited to have this on display here.”
Some items also will be available for purchase.
Anyone interested in sharing a collection with the public may contact the library. The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. For more information, call 330-343-6123 or visit doverlibrary.org.
