Choose a 6- or 12-mile ride or hike, then enjoy Oktoberfest food, music and beer at the Canal Tavern of Zoar.
The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition will host its annual Bike, Hike and Brew Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Tuscarawas County.
Participants may choose a fully supported 6- or 12-mile bicycle ride or hike starting at 10 a.m. at Canal Lands Park, followed by a family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration at the historic Canal Tavern of Zoar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival will feature live music, German food, desserts, local beer, root beer floats, snacks and raffle prizes.
Tickets include lunch, ride support, a beer ticket and a commemorative beer glass. Presale tickets are $40 and must be purchased by Thursday, Oct. 9, at ohioeriecanal.org/bike-hike-brew or by calling 330-374-5657. Same-day tickets, if available, are $50 at the Canal Tavern of Zoar. Youth tickets (ages 6–12) are $10, and children 5 and under are admitted free.
