Minerva High seniors lend a hand during annual community service day
Class of 2026 students spent Nov. 7 assisting local residents with fall cleanup and small projects across the village
About 60 seniors from Minerva High School’s Class of 2026 traded their classrooms for rakes and yard bags Nov. 7 during the school’s annual Senior Service Day.
Joined by Minerva Local Schools staff and administrators, students spent the morning helping retired residents across the community with fall cleanup. Teams of students raked and bagged leaves, pulled weeds, and cleaned out flower and mulch beds to help prepare properties for winter. They also assisted with other small projects as needed.
The event was organized by Minerva High School Assistant Principal Tim Wolf, who coordinated volunteers and matched student groups with local homes.
“The Minerva High School Class of 2026 is very strong,” Wolf said. “They have demonstrated great leadership, school spirit and community pride. I am very proud of them.”
Senior Service Day has become a valued tradition at Minerva High, offering students an opportunity to connect with residents, demonstrate leadership and reinforce the school’s commitment to serving the community.
