“Quilts Galore,” the McCook House Museum's fall exhibit, will be on display through Oct. 11 at 15 S. Lisbon St., Carrollton. The
showcase will feature both hand-sewn and machine-made quilts, old and new,
celebrating the craft’s artistry and history.
Each quilt tells a story, whether it is as
simple as the names of the assembler and quilter or as rich as the memories
attached to a family heirloom.
“Visitors are invited to consider each quilt's unique narrative,” said Kathleen Horn of the McCook House. “Was it a gift? An inheritance? How old is it? Do you know the
pattern?”
The McCook House Museum invites the community to
participate in preserving and sharing the quilting tradition through this
special fall display.
