Malvern Historical Society plans Christmas open house
Dec. 13 event will feature a new local history book, village memorabilia and a chance to reconnect with Malvern’s past and its people.
The Malvern Historical Society invites the public to its annual Christmas open house Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The society will have the new book "Around Malvern" by local author Jason Lombardi available for purchase. Organizers say it would make a great holiday gift.
The group is also seeking new members as it begins a new year. The society meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Some active members no longer live in the village; many graduated from Malvern, once lived there or had relatives who did and remember visiting. They share fond memories of the village and its friendly people.
Organizers encourage residents to stop in, visit with neighbors and enjoy viewing a bit of Malvern history while considering membership.
Current officers are Tom Wagner, president; Jason Lombardi, vice president; Susie Brothers, treasurer; and Rhonda Chiurco, secretary.
