The program is designed to help Carroll County youth gain independence and improve access to employment opportunities
Carroll County Job and Family Services is offering financial assistance to help eligible youth pay for driver’s education classes.
Through the county’s Prevention, Retention and Contingency program, qualifying youth ages 15½ and older may receive up to $500 to cover the cost of driver’s education.
To qualify, applicants must live in Carroll County and have a household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, or currently receive public assistance such as Ohio Works First, SNAP or Medicaid.
Officials said the program is designed to help Carroll County youth gain independence and improve access to employment opportunities.
Those interested in applying can contact Job and Family Services at 330-627-2571 and ask about PRC driver’s education assistance.
