Tuscarawas library friends plan July 25 fundraiser
The Main Library in New Philadelphia will host a Christmas in July mystery dinner with advance tickets due by July 17
The Friends of Tuscarawas County Public Library’s Main Library will host a Christmas in July mystery dinner fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. July 25 at the Main Library.
The Friends of the Main Library, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for special library projects, will present “Mayhem at the North Pole,” a mystery written and directed by Chris Hart.
Guests will be challenged to determine who attempted to disrupt Santa’s preparations for Christmas Eve. Ticket holders are encouraged to wear holiday-themed attire.
“We are so grateful to Chris Hart for writing and directing this piece, which is sure to spread Christmas cheer,” Friends Board President Candy Beaber said. “With the support of other local actors, we are confident that this will be yet another successful fundraiser for the Friends of the Library.”
Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance at the Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW. Reservations are required by July 17. Tickets may be purchased with cash, check or credit card. A $3 transaction fee applies to credit card purchases.
The ticket price includes a buffet meal catered by Ricardo’s featuring roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, rolls and assorted pies.
Following dinner, guests will question the characters and work with others at their table to determine the culprit. The table with the best solution will be declared the winner.
Doors will open 30 minutes before the event. For more information, call 330-364-4474, ext. 221.
