Tuscarawas County Library seeks artists for scrap fabric challenge
Participants may pick up a mystery bag at the Main Library beginning Feb. 16
The Main Library of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System is seeking area artists to participate in its second Scrap Fabric Challenge.
“The library will provide a mystery bag of supplies, and participants will provide the art,” Customer Service Assistant Whitney Lawrence said. Professional and amateur artists of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Participants may pick up a mystery bag at the Main Library beginning Feb. 16. Bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“You can use the mystery bag to design anything you wish,” Lawrence said. Entries must be returned to the library by March 13 at 5 p.m., and the creations will be displayed at the library.
Community members may vote for their favorite piece March 16-27. Winners will be announced March 30.
The Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia. For more information, visit tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474.
