TCAG honors regional artists at annual fall exhibit
The exhibit features works from artists across a variety of genres
The Tuscarawas County Art Guild honored 15 regional artists during its 10th annual Fall Exhibit held at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts in New Philadelphia. The exhibit features works from artists across a variety of genres.
The show was juried by Arthur “Skip” Limbach, a longtime Tuscarawas County resident. Limbach is a former professor at Kent State University, a member of the Ohio Arts Council and a lifelong artist whose work appears in numerous corporate and private collections. Winning pieces were selected for composition, design elements, principles and contribution to the advancement of the arts.
Dr. William Schultz received Best of Show for his stone carving titled “Heading Up Stream.”
Awards of Excellence were presented to Patty Foster, Jason Hershberger, William Koch, Betty Liptak and Stephanie Space.
Awards of Merit were presented to Dennis Jones, Steve Muhs, Don O’Grady, Tim Sidel and Peggy Sibila.
Honorable Mentions went to Terry Barnhill, Jackie Holan, Andy Liptak and Michelle Wittensoldner.
The exhibit will run through Dec. 13 at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, 461 Robinson Drive SE, New Philadelphia. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m.
