Library’s DINO 5K set for March 21 in New Philadelphia

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host its 10th annual DINO 5K Saturday, March 21, to celebrate the upcoming Summer Reading Program and its theme.
Race-day registration begins at 9 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m. The 5K will begin and end at the Main Library in New Philadelphia and run through Tuscora Park.
“This is a family-friendly 5K, and we hope everyone has fun bringing the theme to life with their outfits and costumes that are safe for a race,” Public Relations Associate Emily Price said.
Registration is $30 for adults and $20 for youth 17 and younger. The race will be professionally timed by Champ Racing, with awards presented to the top three male, female and youth finishers.
Organizers also will add a raffle this year, with dinosaur-themed water bottles and tote bags as prizes. Participants who register will be eligible for raffle prizes.
Participants who register by Saturday, Feb. 14, are guaranteed a DINO 5K T-shirt. Registration forms are available at all library locations, including the Main Library and Operations Center, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia; Sugarcreek Branch, 120 S. Broadway; Tuscarawas Branch, 289 S. Main St.; Strasburg Branch, 356 Fifth St. SW; and Bolivar Branch, 455 W. Water St.
