Library’s DINO 5K set for March 21 in New Philadelphia
Participants who register by Saturday, Feb. 14, are guaranteed a DINO 5K T-shirt
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host its 10th annual DINO 5K Saturday, March 21, to celebrate the upcoming Summer Reading Program and its theme.
Race-day registration begins at 9 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m. The 5K will begin and end at the Main Library in New Philadelphia and run through Tuscora Park.
“This is a family-friendly 5K, and we hope everyone has fun bringing the theme to life with their outfits and costumes that are safe for a race,” Public Relations Associate Emily Price said.
Registration is $30 for adults and $20 for youth 17 and younger. The race will be professionally timed by Champ Racing, with awards presented to the top three male, female and youth finishers.
Organizers also will add a raffle this year, with dinosaur-themed water bottles and tote bags as prizes. Participants who register will be eligible for raffle prizes.
Participants who register by Saturday, Feb. 14, are guaranteed a DINO 5K T-shirt. Registration forms are available at all library locations, including the Main Library and Operations Center, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia; Sugarcreek Branch, 120 S. Broadway; Tuscarawas Branch, 289 S. Main St.; Strasburg Branch, 356 Fifth St. SW; and Bolivar Branch, 455 W. Water St.
