Hennis Care Centre of Dover has announced the grand reopening of Pat’s Porch, a transitional therapy house designed to provide care in a residential-style setting.

Named in honor of Patricia “Pat” Hennis, the space reflects her vision of delivering high-quality care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Located next to the main facility at 309 E. 17th St., Pat’s Porch offers accommodations paired with personalized, patient-centered services. Residents have access to in-house therapy services tailored to individual recovery and wellness goals.

A key feature of Pat’s Porch is its culinary program. Chefs Dennis and Carla prepare meals daily using fresh ingredients and accommodating individual dietary needs.

“My grandmother, Pat, always believed our residents deserved the very best care in a warm, welcoming environment,” said Brian Hennis, administrator and fourth-generation operator of Hennis Care Centre. “The house that is now Pat’s Porch was once my grandparents’ home, which makes this especially meaningful. I know they would be proud of what it represents today.”

Pat’s Porch continues Hennis Care Centre’s mission to provide a place where patients and residents can heal, thrive and feel at home.

Community members are invited to tour the facility and learn more about the services offered.
