Fall Steam Festival returns to Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek
The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum will host its Fall Steam Festival: Trains, Tractors and Traditions
The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum will host its Fall Steam Festival: Trains, Tractors and Traditions Friday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
The family-friendly event will feature steam locomotive rides ($5 each), working antique tractors and belt-driven machinery, tinsmithing demonstrations by Historic Zoar Village, vintage baseball games Saturday at noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m., live barbershop quartet music Saturday, and food vendors and roundhouse tours, with an additional fee required for tours.
Organizers say the festival offers the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era, giving families a chance to enjoy history, tradition and old-fashioned fun.
The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum houses the largest privately owned collection of steam locomotives in the United States. Its 18-stall roundhouse, historic turntable and preserved rail equipment make it a unique destination for history buffs and rail fans.
