Fairless school board seeks applicants to fill vacant seat
Letters of interest for the unexpired term are due Nov. 26
The Fairless Local Schools Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term of board member Dr. Jody Seward, whose seat became vacant Nov. 20. The board must name a replacement within 30 days of the vacancy.
Those interested in serving on the Fairless Local Schools Board of Education should submit a letter of interest by 3 p.m. Nov. 26, to the superintendent of schools by email at superintendent@fairless.sparcc.org.
Under Ohio law, school board members must be district residents, registered voters in the district and at least 18 years old.
The board will review all applications and appoint the replacement during its regular meeting Dec. 16.
The board thanked Seward for his years of service to the district and community. He stepped down for personal reasons.
