Dover High School to host open house Sept. 14
Event marks five years of learning and innovation with tours, student demonstrations and community celebration.
Dover City Schools will celebrate five years of learning, growth and community at Dover High School during an open house Sunday, Sept. 14, from 1-4 p.m.
The event will showcase the people, programs and partnerships that define the district’s flagship campus.
“Our high school is more than just a building — it’s a hub of student learning, creativity, and community pride,” Superintendent Karie McCrate said. “We’re proud to open our doors and celebrate five years of achievements, innovation, and partnership with our families, staff, and the broader Dover community.”
Highlights of the open house include:
— Self-guided tours of classrooms and learning spaces.
— Student demonstrations in music and art.
— Student-athlete leaders guiding visitors through athletic facilities.
— Hands-on displays in the Project Lead the Way lab and Exercise Science Lab, a program in partnership with Buckeye Career Center.
— Refreshments from the student-led Crimson Café.
— A chance to explore cafeteria options and dining space.
The event will also offer a look at how Dover High School prepares students for success through innovative programming and hands-on opportunities, a focus of the district’s strategic plan.
“This milestone is not only about reflecting on how far we’ve come but also looking forward to what’s ahead,” Principal Brooke Grafe said. “We hope our community will join us to see firsthand the impact of their ongoing support.”
