Celtic Thunder to perform this fall at the PAC
The show will include a selection of the group’s songs, including Irish folk songs and contemporary music
The Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas announced that Celtic Thunder will bring its new tour to New Philadelphia on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m.
“An Evening with Celtic Thunder” will feature songs from the group’s catalog and reunite past and present members.
The show will include a selection of the group’s songs, including Irish folk songs and contemporary music.
“We wanted to create something truly special for our fans, something that feels personal and celebratory,” Damian McGinty, longtime Celtic Thunder principal said. “This show is about reconnecting — with the music, with each other, and with the people who have supported us throughout the years. It’s a chance to relive the magic of Celtic Thunder in a more intimate way, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with our audience.”
Celtic Thunder was formed in Dublin in 2007. Billboard Magazine has named the group the Top World Album Artist five times, and its albums have ranked in the World Album Top 10.
Tickets start at $20 and are on sale at the Performing Arts Center box office, by calling 330-308-6400 or online at kent.edu/tuscpac. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free parking is available for all shows. The Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of Kent State Tuscarawas at 330 University Drive NE in New Philadelphia.
The Performing Arts Center’s 2026-27 season is sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation.
