The Husky boys were led in scoring by Colston Kirkpatrick with a 366. Other Husky leaders were Wyatt Durbin (329) and Aiden Pettit (243). The Bruins were led by Ty Lallone (353) and Alex Odeldobel (335). The Husky boys were victorious, 1,993-1,889.
The Lady Huskies also secured a victory against the Bruins. Jaylie Byers rolled a 399 for the Huskies, with teammates Tayla Thompson (341) and Mercedez Cooper (315) adding strong series. Tori Whitehead led the Bruins with a 292. Shirley Coan rolled a 270, Kaylee Tuttle a 241 and Chasity Stevey added a 232. The final score was 1,793-1,580.
Harrison Central hosted the Martins Ferry Purple Riders Tuesday at JR Lanes. Their first contest, Dec. 4 at St. Clairsville, resulted in wins for both the Husky boys and girls teams.
The Husky boys again brought home the victory, 1,926-1,444. Senior Aiden Pettit led Harrison Central with a 372. Owen Whitacre rolled a 310, with Colston Kirkpatrick right behind him at 309.
Martins Ferry had one bowler in the 300s, rolling a 327.
The Lady Huskies again overcame the Purple Riders, 1,720-1,267. Sophie Bland led Harrison Central with a 339. Jaylie Byers added a 313.
Harrison Central bowled again Wednesday on the road in East Liverpool at Beaver Local. The match was a tri-match against Beaver Local and East Liverpool.
The Lady Huskies continued their strong run against the East Liverpool Potters, narrowly pulling off a 1,881-1,861 win. The Huskies were led by Jaylie Byers, who rolled a 430 series. Bralee Thomas added a 324 in the victory.
East Liverpool’s boys team held off Harrison Central and defeated the Huskies, 2,143-1,986. Harrison Central was led by Aiden Pettit (396), followed closely by Wyatt Durbin (363).
Both Harrison Central and East Liverpool defeated Beaver Local.
The Harrison Central Huskies will be back in action Jan. 27 to face the Union Local Jets at home at JR Lanes in New Athens.
