River View trio helps Sting Soccer Club capture Ohio Champions League title
Lonsinger, Miller and Cohen lead Mount Vernon–based team to undefeated season and tournament championship.
River View Intermediate School students Emilia Lonsinger, Malania Miller and Scarlett Cohen wrapped up an outstanding fall soccer season playing for the Sting Soccer Club out of Mount Vernon.
The team finished ranked No. 1 in the Ohio Champions League U11 Girls White Division, going undefeated in regular season play (6-0-0). They capped off their season this past weekend by taking first place at the Ohio Champions League Tournament, competing against some of the top teams in the state.
The Sting SC girls claimed victory over Upper Arlington Soccer Academy, Lancaster Select Soccer Academy and Dublin United Soccer Club to earn the championship title. It was a tremendous display of teamwork and determination, with Lonsinger and Miller contributing multiple goals throughout the tournament.
