Wickline appointed Carroll County economic development director

The Carroll County Board of Commissioners has appointed Lynda Wickline as the county’s economic development director. She begins Sept. 29.

A longtime Carrollton resident, Wickline brings deep community ties and decades of business and management experience. For more than 25 years, she has opened and managed several local businesses, including Browse & Buy and Turner’s Diamond Jewelry. She also managed Carroll Crest Apartments and assisted with operations at Carroll Court Apartments, giving her insight into the area’s business and housing needs.

Wickline and her husband, James, raised seven children in Carrollton, four of whom attended Carrollton Exempted Village Schools. They have five grandchildren, three currently enrolled in the district, and live in Carrollton with their dogs, Sweetie and Stella.

“Lynda’s lifelong investment in Carroll County and her hands-on experience as a business owner and community leader give her a unique perspective on what our residents and businesses need to thrive,” Commissioner Christopher R. Modranski said. “We are excited to welcome her to this role and look forward to working with her to grow opportunities in our county.”

As economic development director, Wickline will focus on supporting local businesses, attracting new investment and fostering sustainable growth that benefits residents and employers across Carroll County.
