Holiday decorations brighten village of Malvern
The decorations were installed with the help of a large group of volunteers
The village of Malvern has taken on a festive look this holiday season, with lighted decorations lining downtown poles and Christmas trees filling planters throughout the village.
The decorations were installed with the help of a large group of volunteers, including village trustees, who gathered to decorate the trees and prepare the downtown area for the holidays.
Amy Mays, a trustee with the Malvern Community Development Fund and chairwoman of the Christmas Tree Project, said the effort was both meaningful and enjoyable for those involved.
“It’s been an honor to be the chairperson for this year’s Christmas Tree Project,” Mays said. “I’m very grateful to all of our volunteers and sponsors for the Christmas trees. Thank you to our community for your love, support and hard work. Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy holiday season.”
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Malvern Community Development Fund sponsoring the Christmas Tree Project. The annual effort serves as both a fundraiser and a beautification initiative for the village.
MCDF officials expressed appreciation to the donors, volunteers and workers whose continued support has made the project a long-standing holiday tradition in Malvern.
