Great Trail Fire District brings Santa Claus to Malvern
Santa visits Malvern with drive-through holiday event
Santa Claus made a festive stop in Malvern Dec. 17, visiting the Great Trail Fire District for a short parade and a photo opportunity with area children at the North Station on Water Street. As in recent years, the holiday tradition was held as a drive-through event, allowing families to take part in the celebration safely.
During the visit, about 280 bags filled with treats, including fruit, chips and candy, were distributed to children. In addition, 10 bicycles in a range of sizes will be raffled off, adding to the holiday excitement for local families.
Several firefighters were on hand to assist families in line and help with toy selection.
The event was made possible through the generosity of local donors who contributed toys and funds, including American Legion Post 375 of Malvern. The Legion donated items and helped collect additional contributions, continuing a long-standing partnership with the Great Trail Fire District to bring Santa to Malvern each year and provide gifts to area children.
