Winfield Community Reunion set for Oct. 18 at former Winfield School
Carry-in dinner at 1 p.m., short meeting at 2 p.m.; all current and former residents, school/church/grange attendees and friends welcome
A Winfield Community Reunion will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, from noon to 3 p.m. at the former Winfield School, located on state Route 516 west of Dover.
The school has been closed since 1962, when the Dover Township school board relinquished control and students were bused to Park School in the Dover City School system. In 1971, the building was sold and remodeled, and it now houses the Winfield Community Church.
The reunion will feature a carry-in dinner at 1 p.m., followed by a short meeting at 2 p.m.
All present and past residents; school, church, or grange attendees; store customers; friends; passersby; and anyone curious are welcome to attend.
For more information, call Charlotte Kuemerle Barnhart at 330-852-3581 or Mary Lou Kuemerle Miller at 330-343-1796.
