The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum will offer Homefront to Warfront Troop Train Rides during the Victory on the Homefront event in Dennison June 20.

The one-hour World War II-themed train rides will depart from Dennison at noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The event will recreate 1940s homefront hospitality as Dreamsville, USA, comes to life. Activities will include a Salvation Army Canteen reenactment, a victory garden display, 250 Rosie the Riveters, mess hall food choices, veteran recognition, patriotic and musical entertainment, visits to the World War II National Historic Landmark Museum at the Dennison Depot and shopping at the Whistle Stop Gift Shop.

The event is free to attend, but train ride tickets should be purchased in advance. Tickets are required for children 3 and older.

Passengers should arrive one hour before departure. Boarding begins 30 minutes before departure, and gates close five minutes before departure. The vintage passenger cars are not ADA compliant and have limited wheelchair accessibility. Those with accessibility needs should call 740-922-6776 before booking.
