TuscParks will host a winter hike from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Norma Johnson Center.

The free event will begin at a welcome table located at 3645 Conservation Drive, in the parking lot below the red barn off Old State Route 39 between Dover and Sugarcreek.

Participants may choose from three marked trails with varying levels of difficulty. Hot chocolate and soups from Ginger’s Home Bakery will be available after the hike. Refreshments will be served inside the newly remodeled red barn.

Pets are permitted but must be kept on a leash. The hike is sponsored by United Way and TuscParks.

“It is always amazing to explore the trails during the winter months,” said Marsha Freeland. “The forest is still very active at this time of year. If it snows, bring your sled or make snowmen along the trails.”

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
