Tuscarawas County library launches Plot Twist Reading Challenge for 2026
Adults and teens are encouraged to read 25 books of their choice and track their progress
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will kick off its Plot Twist Reading Challenge Jan. 1, 2026, inviting readers to celebrate novels that keep them engaged with unexpected twists and turns.
Adults and teens are encouraged to read 25 books of their choice and track their progress using the Beanstack reading app or a paper tracker. Participants who complete the challenge will receive a literary-themed tote bag while supplies last.
“The Plot Twist Reading Challenge gives people a chance to set a new reading goal for 2026 and enrich themselves with their choice of books and audiobooks,” said Public Relations Associate Emily Price. “Reading challenges are a great opportunity to fall in love with reading again and find your next page-turner.”
Teens and adults can track their reading online through Beanstack by visiting tusclibrary.org/beanstack or by downloading the free Beanstack Tracker app from their mobile device’s app store. Beanstack rewards users with digital badges to help motivate readers as they work toward completing the challenge. Library staff are available to assist anyone who needs help using the app.
Readers who prefer not to use digital tracking may pick up a paper reading log at any Tuscarawas County Public Library location.
The Plot Twist Reading Challenge runs from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026. Participants may complete the challenge once, and tote bags are available while supplies last.
The challenge is part of the library system’s annual reading initiatives. Anyone who completed the 2025 Read Your Socks Off Challenge may pick up their free socks through Jan. 31, 2026.
