The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership is beginning its 11th year of arts advocacy and community programming with a new event celebrating friendship, creativity and local collaboration. TAP, in partnership with Pilot Brewhouse, will host PAL-entines Day from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Pilot Brewhouse.

PAL-entines Day is planned as a casual social evening featuring music, conversation and support for the arts. The event will include optional Singo, also known as music bingo, with prizes for winners, additional giveaways throughout the night, and food-and-beverage specials offered by Pilot Brewhouse. Each ticket includes entry into a weekend-getaway grand prize with a stay at a local hotel, tickets to a show and a Pilot Brewhouse gift certificate. Attendees will also receive a free appetizer with the purchase of a drink.

The event comes during a milestone year for TAP, which launched in 2015 to strengthen connections among artists, organizations and residents. Since then, the nonprofit has supported public art projects, professional development for artists, youth engagement opportunities and creative partnerships throughout Tuscarawas County.

“Entering our 11th year, we wanted to start the season with something joyful and welcoming,” said Wilma Mullet, TAP executive director. “PAL-entines Day focuses on what has always driven TAP’s work: building friendships, creating space for the arts and reminding people that our community is stronger when we show up together.”

Mullet said the partnership with a local business reflects TAP’s emphasis on collaboration.

“Working with Pilot Brewhouse highlights how the arts intersect with local business, tourism and quality of life,” she said. “We hope people come out, relax, play a few rounds of Singo and discover what’s ahead for the arts this year.”

Tickets are $15 for individuals, $25 for couples and $50 for a four-person Pal Pack. The event is open to anyone interested in enjoying local brews and bites while supporting community arts initiatives.
