Strasburg community braves cold for annual tree lighting

Garver Square ceremony features prayer, carols and refreshments

The Strasburg Lion’s Club set the tree in place each year.

On Sunday evening Nov. 30 many braved the cold temperatures to attend the annual tree lighting held at Garver Square on Wooster Avenue. The Strasburg Lion’s Club set the tree in place each year. The tree was donated.

Rev. Matthew Wald, pastor, of the Strasburg United Methodist Church offered prayer prior to the lighting of the tree. The singing of Christmas carols were enjoyed and refreshments were served.
