State of the Schools program planned in Tuscarawas County
The program will cover developments in school funding, property tax implications and what the changes could mean for public education
The Tuscarawas County Chapter of Parents United for Public Schools, in partnership with the Lacey PAC Adaptive Movement Center, will host State of the Schools, organized by the OH Organizing Collaborative, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Fourth and Faith, 401 N. Wooster Ave., Dover.
Guest speakers will include John Patterson, former Ohio House representative and co-author of the Fair School Funding Plan; Penny Moody of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities; and Madeliane Matej MacQueen of Policy Matters Ohio.
The program will cover recent developments in school funding, property tax implications and what the changes could mean for public education in Tuscarawas County. Organizers said the event will include time for questions and discussion, and all parents and community members are encouraged to attend.
Registration is available through “State of the Schools” on the OH Organizing Collaborative website at www.mobilize.us/ooc/.
