Rosenberry Foundation awards more than $409,000 in grants to Tuscarawas County nonprofits
Funding supports local schools, parks, museums and community projects through the charitable trust established by Harold and Marjorie Rosenberry

Charitable organizations throughout Tuscarawas County will benefit from $409,782.75 in grants awarded for 2025 by the Harold C. and Marjorie Q. Rosenberry Tuscarawas County Foundation.
The late Harold C. Rosenberry of Dover established the charitable trust to provide financial assistance to qualified nonprofit organizations in the county. The Huntington National Bank serves as trustee, and the foundation’s Selection Committee — made up of community leaders — reviews applications and distributes grants semiannually.
The grants support equipment purchases and capital improvement projects across the county.
Among this year’s recipients:
American Red Cross – $5,000 for a Power Red Machine used at Tuscarawas County blood drives.
Friends of the Homeless – $25,000 for construction of Jack’s House of Hope.
Gnadenhutten Public Library – $15,500 for main floor renovation.
Kent State University – $25,000 for a student nursing learning lab.
Ohio Outdoor Historical Drama Association – $16,320 to replace tormentor walls on the amphitheater stage.
RTY Inc. – $30,000 to renovate three vintage rides at Tuscora Park.
Tuscora Park Foundation – $15,000 to replace baseball field dugouts.
Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools – $10,000 for a stadium lighting upgrade.
Tusky Valley Baseball/Softball Association – $13,750 for softball field renovations in Bolivar.
Twin City Parks & Waterways, Inc. – $15,000 for park improvements.
Alpine Hills Historical Museum – $20,000 to install an elevator.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio – $4,983.96 for computer and software upgrades.
Buckeye Career Center – $10,000 for Project Lead the Way.
City of Dover – $25,000 for a splash pad at the public pool for children and children with disabilities.
Dover Soccer Association – $2,500 for a set of U12 soccer goals.
Newcomerstown Historical Society – $9,028.79 to replace carpeting at the museum.
New Philadelphia City Schools – $10,000 for Project Lead the Way.
The Community Center of Southern Tuscarawas County – $9,250 to develop outdoor space for the farmers market.
The Salvation Army – $13,500 for an outdoor shade roof for youth programs.
Trojan Pride Foundation – $23,850 for weight room equipment and facility enhancement.
Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School – $16,000 for school security cameras.
Tuscarawas County Agricultural Society – $25,000 for an ABI water trailer used in youth 4-H projects.
Tuscarawas County YMCA – $27,450 to replace gymnasium bleachers.
United Way of Tuscarawas County – $7,900 for new management software and a computer server.
Village of Dennison – $20,000 to expand the stage in the railroad room of the community center.
Warren Township Community Center – $14,750 for building improvements.
Since its creation in 1994, the Rosenberry Foundation has distributed more than $10 million to support charitable work in Tuscarawas County.
Only organizations that qualify under Section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code are eligible for funding.
