Registration underway for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading in New Philadelphia

Registration is now open for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading, offered to boys and girls ages 5 (kindergarten) through fourth grade.

Participants may register online with a credit card at registration.upward.org/UPW89231. Evaluation and registration sessions will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9-11 a.m., and Thursday, Dec. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene, 233 Fair Ave. NE, New Philadelphia. Attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory.

Practices will begin Jan. 5, 2026, with one practice per week. Six games are scheduled from Jan. 24 through Feb. 28, 2026.

The registration fee is $80 per child if registered before Nov. 15, and $90 after that date. The registration deadline is Dec. 6. Fifty-percent scholarships are available by calling 330-343-7144.
