Reader urges friends and neighbors to vote yes on Issue 19
New Philadelphia resident says updated facilities will improve safety, accessibility and community growth
As a proud member of the New Philadelphia community I am writing to urge my friends and neighbors to vote yes on the upcoming school levy. This isn't just about new buildings. It's about creating safe, accessible and modern learning environments that reflect the needs of today's students and the students of years to come.
Our current school facilities have served us well for many years, but they were built for a different time. Everyone has seen the photos. The aging infrastructure presents growing safety concerns and limits the district's ability to keep students and staff safe and secure in the event of an emergency.
The new buildings are designed with the latest safety standards, will be more accessible to students of all abilities and will be equipped to support technology in the capacity it is used today.
This levy is about investing in our community's future. Strong, safe schools attract new families and top educators while strengthening property values. The time is running out for us to utilize the funds currently being offered by the state. Vote yes on Issue 19.
