New Philadelphia to dedicate Veterans Memorial on Veterans Day
VFW Post 1445 and the city will hold an 8 a.m. Nov. 11 ceremony at Schoenbrunn Meadow Cemetery with military honors and remarks.
VFW Post 1445 and the City of New Philadelphia will hold a dedication ceremony for the new Veterans Memorial at Schoenbrunn Meadow Cemetery Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at 8 a.m. The cemetery is located at 2037 Delaware Drive SE in New Philadelphia, and the public is invited to attend.
The stone monument, donated by VFW Post 1445, serves as a place for veterans, military members, families, and community members to remember and honor those who have served in the United States military.
The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Joel Day and Post Commander Steve Chenevey. The New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 Military Honors Team will perform “To the Colors” during a flag-raising ceremony, followed by “Volleys and Taps” to honor all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
