Knights of Columbus gift bicycles to sisters serving Tuscarawas parishes

Local council surprises five sisters with new bikes to support transportation, recreation and ministry.

The Knights of the LCPL Peter Clore Council 2372, Knights of Columbus, with help from other local Knights, donated new bicycles to five sisters serving Tuscarawas Catholic schools and parishes.

The sisters had shared that they love to ride and often used bicycles for transportation in India. When council members heard that, they set a plan to acquire bikes.

Knights Bob Karl, Bernie Schreiner and Dave Miller delivered the bicycles, and the smiles and laughter in the church parking lot made the effort worth it. The sisters quickly chose their bikes, took test rides and received a rundown on safety features and added gear to be road ready.

The sisters thanked the Knights for their generosity and offered blessings for their kindness. They said they are excited to explore Dennison and Uhrichsville, enjoy the beauty of the area and get some exercise. The Knights, along with the wider Catholic community, expressed gratitude for the sisters’ presence and ministry.
