Kent State Tuscarawas golf outing to benefit scholarships

During the past 24 years, the event has raised more than $110,000

Kent State University at Tuscarawas will sponsor the 25th annual Scholarship Golf Outing Friday, May 15, at Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia. Registration for the four-player, 18-hole scramble will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Greens fees include lunch at the turn and a steak dinner.

Several levels of sponsorship are available. “It’s a fun way companies and individuals can get involved to help out our students,” Kent State Tuscarawas Dean and Chief Executive Officer Brad Bielski said. “We are always striving to provide more opportunities and access for local individuals to pursue college.”

During the past 24 years, the event has raised more than $110,000. The funds support four $1,000 Alumni Legacy Scholarships awarded each year, help sustain the Alumni Legacy Scholarship endowment fund and support the growth and development of the Kent State Tuscarawas Alumni Association.
