Health department seeking artwork for renovated building
Artists of all ages may participate by submitting framed original artwork or canvas pieces of any size
Construction at the Tuscarawas County Health Department building is nearly complete, and officials are inviting artists to submit original artwork to help decorate the office.
Artists of all ages may participate by submitting framed original artwork or canvas pieces of any size by 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27. High-quality prints of original artwork will also be considered.
Preference will be given to work focusing on public health or the Tuscarawas County community. Submissions must be delivered in person to the Tuscarawas County Health Department, 897 E. Iron Ave., Dover. Contest winners will be recognized, and their artwork will be displayed at the health department.
“We are excited to showcase the work of local artists on our walls,” said Katie Seward, Tuscarawas County health commissioner. “Thousands of community residents enter our building each year for services, and we know our visitors will be inspired by the creative art on display. We look forward to honoring the winners at a community open house to be held this spring.”
All artwork submitted will become the property of the Tuscarawas County Health Department.
