Registration opened Dec. 1 for the winter session of the Fit for Life program, which will be offered at the Dover Public Library by Dr. Timothy McKnight and his staff from Trinity Hospital Twin City Medical Center. The 12-week program aims to educate, motivate and inspire participants to make lifestyle changes that promote overall wellness and happier, healthier and more productive lives.
Dr. McKnight will conduct the 60-minute classes every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the library’s community room. Participants may choose to attend in person or virtually. Lectures are released through a private Facebook page, and participants then meet each Tuesday — either in person or virtually — to review the lesson and receive updated information from McKnight.
The winter session begins Jan. 13 and runs through March 31, 2025.
McKnight will address topics including customized nutrition and fitness plans, stress management, cardiovascular fitness, food labels, flexibility and strength training, disease prevention and healthy aging.
Those interested can register at www.trinitytwincity.org by clicking on the Fit for Life ad on the home page or selecting “For Your Health,” then “Fit for Life,” then “Register Here.” In-person registration is limited to the first 50 confirmed participants, while virtual registration is unlimited.
For more information, call Kelly at 330-401-5900. After registering, participants will receive a welcome email with instructions for joining the private Facebook group and information about the initial measurement day.
