Dover library to host knee and shoulder pain programs
Dr. John D. Idoine III, an orthopedic surgeon at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, will present two free programs at the Dover Public Library on common conditions that develop with age — knee pain and shoulder pain.
“Knee Pain 101” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17. Idoine will discuss causes of knee pain, how diagnoses are determined, when to treat conservatively and the latest advancements in surgical care.
“Shoulder Pain 101” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 23. Idoine will cover causes, diagnoses and new options in surgical treatment for shoulder pain.
A native of Knox County, Idoine is fellowship-trained to treat complex conditions of the shoulder and elbow. He has published articles in professional journals and presented findings at symposiums. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golf, ice hockey, drumming and traveling.
Both lectures begin at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s community room, 525 N. Walnut St. Registration is available at doverlibrary.org/events or by calling 330-343-6123.
