Dover library partners with Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital for fall health programs
Free sessions will cover heart attack warning signs, stroke response and cholesterol management this September through November.
The Dover Public Library is partnering with Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital to present three programs aimed at helping residents lead healthier lives. Each session will be held from 2-3 p.m. in the library community room.
“We always welcome the opportunity to collaborate with the expert staff from our local hospital to share important information which could save your own life or the life of someone you love,” said Sherrel Rieger, the library’s adult program specialist.
The series begins Monday, Sept. 8, with Learn the Warning Signs of a Heart Attack. Participants will learn about the causes and symptoms of heart attacks, what to do in an emergency and how a heart attack differs from cardiac arrest.
The second program, Spot a Stroke and BE FAST, is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6. The series concludes Monday, Nov. 10, with Control Your Cholesterol: Learn How Cholesterol Affects Your Heart Health.
To register for one or all of the programs, call Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at 330-602-0779.
