Dover library offers spooky fun for kids throughout October
Events include haunted mini golf, Halloween stories, crafts and community Trick-or-Treat appearances
The Dover Public Library Children’s Department has lined up a month of frightful fun this October.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 4:30 p.m., Wacky Wednesday will feature a haunted mini golf course created in the stacks of the children’s department. Ms. Chris will put her creativity to work designing the course, and families are invited to drop in for the spooky fun.
On Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., children can gather in the castle area for a not-so-spooky Halloween story presented by the library staff in costume. The story will be followed by snacks, crafts, games and prizes for what staff describe as a howling good time.
Library staff will also take part in community events, including Trick or Treat on the Trail around Dover Pond Sunday, Oct. 26 and the Dover Halloween Parade Wednesday, Oct. 29.
The children’s department continues to offer weekly story times each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
