Christmas with a Cop spreads holiday cheer across Tuscarawas County
Program delivers gifts and grocery cards to children from seven families during Dec. 13 caravan
Christmas with a Cop wrapped up Saturday, Dec. 13, with a Caravan of Cruisers visiting six homes across Tuscarawas County to deliver gifts to children nominated by local educators.
The event served 17 children from seven families. One family was not home during the visits, and their gifts are scheduled to be delivered this week. Each family also received a $250 gift card from a local grocery store.
Although fewer children participated this year, organizers said it allowed them to spend more on each child while shopping.
Organizers called the event another success and expressed gratitude to the community for its continued support.
“We would like to thank our residents, businesses and organizations who support this event year after year,” Robert Everett, chairman of Christmas with a Cop said. “Without them, none of this would be possible, so we’re always thankful for their support.”
