Seven cadets were celebrated at Buckeye Career Center on Dec. 5 as the school recognized graduates of its Adult Education Law Enforcement Training Academy. Family members, local agencies and community leaders attended the ceremony to honor the group’s achievement and dedication to public service. This is the first academy class held at BCC since the 2022-23 school year.
BCC Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Adult Education Frank Polen opened the ceremony by commending the graduates. “We honor not only their completion of the academy but their clear commitment to service,” Polen said. “Throughout the program, their dedication has been evident, and it’s inspiring to celebrate alongside their families, community leaders and the officers who helped guide them.”
The evening also featured remarks from Assistant Director of Adult Education Steve Rippeth and the administration of the Ohio Peace Officer Oath by BCC LETA Commander David Dobbins. Each graduate was formally presented and recognized.
