While New Philadelphia’s football team only finished in the
middle of the Ohio Cardinal Conference pack, the Quakers still earned recognition in the postseason. Dover and Central Catholic also had a few nods
go their way.
The Quakers finished the season 5-5 overall, but that was
after a 1-3 start. They finished 4-2 in the OCC, which placed them third among
seven teams. New Philadelphia finished 16th in the Division III,
Region 11 standings. A year ago that would have gotten the Quakers into the
playoffs, but with fields pared to 12 per region this year, they missed out.
New Philadelphia will say goodbye to all four of its
first-team All-OCC players, who will graduate. They include Vincent Migoni,
Myles Tyson, Caleb Carlisle and Brodie Lindsay. Second-teamer Cohen Winters
also was a senior.
Calab Crowthers, Parker Rieger and Kolston Fox earned
second-team honors as juniors. Receiving all-conference honorable mentions were
seniors Carter Watson, Peyton Miller and Jackson Norris.
Tyson earned first-team All-Eastern District in Div. III
as a running back. Carlisle also got a nod there at wide receiver, as did
offensive lineman Lindsay. Joining them on the first team were linebackers
Migoni and Crowthers and defensive back Fox. Junior Noah Colletti was named
first-team all-district as a punter.
Receiving all-district honorable mentions were Rieger, Watson
and Carter Corns.

Dover
The Tornadoes saved their best for last this season, and the
postseason honors show some hope for the future.
After a 1-5 start, things looked pretty bleak for Dover. The
Tornadoes turned things around quickly, though, and won three of their last
four to finish 4-6 overall. One of those three was a
season-capping 35-28 victory over archrival New Philadelphia.
Dover finished 17th in the Div. III, Region
11 standings. They didn't make the playoffs.
The Tornadoes didn’t play in a league this year. They will
join the Ohio Cardinal Conference in the 2026 season, so their postseason
honors were limited to the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association teams, where they
were well-represented.
On the first-team All-East District in Div. III
were sophomore quarterback Dieter Weber, senior running back Liam Mast,
sophomore receiver Dante Clark and senior receiver Cam Nauer on the offense,
along with junior linebacker Carson McGarry on the first-team defense.
Jack Judkins and Robbie Coppel received honorable mentions
for the Tornadoes.
Central Catholic
The Saints’ 2-8 record was modest, but they stopped all
sorts of losing streaks this year and wound up a team capable of competing with
a lot of teams. They finished 0-5 in the Inter-Valley Conference North but were
represented by a pair of underclassmen on the All-IVC team.
Earning first-team honors were sophomore Lluc
Castellano-Rebolledo and junior running back Grady Stein. On the second team
were juniors Anthony Bollon, Nolan Pugh and Ethan Rothrock.
Grady Stein represented the Saints on the All-East District
team. The junior running back earned a second-team nod in Div. VII. He was joined
by senior defensive back Rothrock, who also received second-team honors. Freshman Anthony Love earned an
honorable mention on the all-conference team. Castellano-Rebolledo got an honorable mention on the all-district squad.
