63rd Annual Dover–New Philadelphia Sportsmanship Banquet set for Oct. 18
Rotary Clubs continue cherished rivalry week tradition honoring athletes, cheerleaders, band members and coaches
The Rotary Clubs of Dover and New Philadelphia will host one of the area’s most cherished traditions: the 63rd annual Dover–New Philadelphia Sportsmanship Banquet.
The banquet will take place Saturday, Oct. 18 at Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 8:15 a.m. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the door.
Held during Dover–New Philadelphia rivalry week, the long-standing event honors senior athletes, cheerleaders, band members, QT members and coaches who will participate in the historic rivalry game.
“For more than half a century, this banquet has celebrated not only athletic competition, but also the values of sportsmanship, respect and community pride that this rivalry represents,” said Michele Milburn, New Philadelphia Rotary president.
“It’s a tradition that brings both communities together to honor the hard work and dedication of our kids.”
Friends and family members of senior participants are invited to attend.
