The Rotary Clubs of Dover and New Philadelphia will host one of the area’s most cherished traditions: the 63rd annual Dover–New Philadelphia Sportsmanship Banquet.
The banquet will take place Saturday, Oct. 18 at Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the door.
Held during Dover–New Philadelphia rivalry week, the long-standing event honors senior athletes, cheerleaders, band members, QT members and coaches who will participate in the historic rivalry game.
“For more than half a century, this banquet has celebrated not only athletic competition, but also the values of sportsmanship, respect and community pride that this rivalry represents,” said Michele Milburn, New Philadelphia Rotary president.
“It’s a tradition that brings both communities together to honor the hard work and dedication of our kids.”
