Uniontown Lions host annual Christmas party
Holiday event raises funds for Shop With a Cop and features Lake Reflections choir
The Uniontown Lions Club hosted its annual Christmas party Wednesday, Dec. 10, welcoming nearly 140 members, spouses, friends and grandchildren for an evening filled with holiday spirit.
The club was honored to have members of the Uniontown Police Department on hand to sell Shop With a Cop tickets, including Capt. Kevin Pearson, Officer Dominic Simko and Kim Kondas Berry. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, $350 was raised for the program.
Guests enjoyed a catered dinner, followed by a performance by Lake High School’s Lake Reflections choir. In a group photo, Jon Thomas is shown presenting choir director Matthew Eversdyke with a $300 donation, with an additional $100 donated by a Lions member.
The evening also included a visit from Santa Claus, who handed out gifts to children, and a surprise appearance by the Grinch, who kept guests laughing. The Uniontown Lions Club thanked everyone who helped make the night special and wished the community a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season.
